This course provides guidance on how to monitor the performance of the 5G radio access network. Important KPIs based on 3GPP are introduced to evaluate accessibility, retainability and mobility procedures as well as the traffic and the performance of the air interface and the quality of service experienced by the user.
Enhanced features like beam forming, (massive) MIMO, carrier aggregation and dual connectivity are included. Use cases present the evaluation of 3GPP failure causes and of the air interface performance based on drive test data.
